An integrated, short-head line designed specifically for shorter two-handed rods. The Adapt is perfect for turning over streamers and can also be used as a dry-fly line when trout or steelhead are looking to the surface.
Short-Head Floating Switch Line
Ask someone 10 years ago what a switch rod was, and you’d probably get a very quizzical look. Now, switch rods are here to stay, which is why Scientific Angler created the Adapt Switch line, an integrated, short-head line designed specifically for shorter two-handed rods. The Adapt is perfect for turning over streamers and can also be used as a dry-fly line when trout or steelhead are looking to the surface.
FEATURES:
• Short head for quick casts and line control
• Integrated, one-piece floating line reduces hinging on casts
• Smooth casting, turns over large flies or sinking Spey tips
• Excellent line for swinging streamers
• Can be used as a dry-fly line with long leaders
• Designed for shorter two-handed rods
• Braided multifilament core
TECHNOLOGIES
SA•ID (Scientific Angler Line Identification)
An innovative line-marking system allowing you to identify your lines at a glance. Wonder if a shooting head is 200 grain or a 300? Just look at the SA•ID. The SA•ID can be found on the first 1-2 feet of the tip section of your line.
Advanced Shooting Technology
Scientific Anglers’ patented dry-slick technology provides continual line slickness, allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves through the guides. Lines with AST easily shed dirt, algae, and other parasitic drag particles, allowing lines to cast farther, float higher, and stay cleaner than traditional lines.
Welded Loop
Exceptionally slick and strong, Welded Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless fly-line-to-loop transition, making for softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved fly-line flotation and enables quicker connections between fly line and leaders or fly line and backing.
Mastery Texture
The Scientific Anglers Mastery Texture features precisely replicated hemispherical divots, similar to those found on a golf ball’s surface. This derivative of our Sharkskin series has less texture on its surface so it feels like a traditional fly line but performs like a Sharkskin. The result is a line that last longer, floats higher, casts easier, and, most importantly, fishes better.
