DetailsThe much publicized “Bondy Bait” is designed for deep water jigging scenarios, whether down drop offs, through suspended Cisco's, deep river channels or even through open water. This bait is a seven time tournament winner!
Jon first developed the original Bondy Bait out of a need for a heavy, balanced lure for vertically jigging the Detroit River for musky in the deep shipping channels. Anglers across the globe have been having tremendous success with it by adapting it to their own geographical area and local predatory fish species.
Jon primarily vertical jigs the Bondy Bait in deep water with current, but other anglers cast the bait and 'stair step' it down breaks and drop offs. It can be thrown to the edge of weed-lines and ripped out of the weeds. It can be used for suspended fish like striped bass on a hot summer day, or it can be jigged for tarpon in places like Boca Grande Pass in Florida.
The Bondy Bait has been extremely effective for giant lake trout in Northwest Territories and it was one of the number one baits for lake trout during the last few seasons on Lake Athabasca, in northern Saskatchewan.
