Selecting the Right Fly
Selecting the right fly can be a daunting task for those overwhelmed by the vast array available, but it doesn’t have to be. To get started on the Bow, consider this fly selection:

Nymphs, streamers and dry flies will all produce on the blue ribbon trout stream

Streamers: Bow River Bugger; Marabou Leech; Zonker. Blacks, olives, purples and whites in sizes #2 - #6 should handle most applications.

Nymphs: Prince; Gold-Ribbed Hare’s Ear; Pheasant Tail; San Juan Worm. Have a good selection of beaded nymphs in sizes #12 - #18 and you’ll be fine.

Dries : Adams; Pale Morning Dun; Blue-winged Olive; Elk Hair Caddis; Letort Hopper; Stimulator. Hoppers and the Stimulator are effective in sizes #6 - #12. For the remainder, fish sizes #10 - #16 for consistent results.
