Where I fish in Alberta we are allowed to ice fish with two lines, so I’ll jig for whites with one line and use the other line as a set line to target something else.
It's important to have a good fishing hole or two in your back pocket and I do. This is equally convenient in summer or ice fishing season as it allows me to bring friends out and pretty much be guaranteed some great action. I know where to go, what to expect, and how to fish it.
My good friend Ayr Miller dropped by last weekend. He had just came back from a trip to Calling Lake and the fishing was as good as ever. He proudly displayed a mixed bag of pike, perch, walleye and burbot.
